Meeting Minutes - The Lyric Revitalization Project

Meeting Overview:

  1. Show Survey Results

  2. Address and discuss survey

  3. The Lyric staff was very pleased with the data collected by the survey. They would like to see if you can still reach more Freshman with the survey.

  4. Discuss other data gathered by groups / Soapbox Marketing strategy

  5. Weren’t able to discuss in detail. Retrieved Soapbox data analytics for the month of January following the meeting.

  6. Provide Information / Suggestions

  7. They were pleased with some of the marketing strategies/suggestions provided and wanted to spend Spring Break thinking more about some of them. In particular, Susan enjoyed the idea of a scavenger hunt. We suggested heavier advertisements on Facebook as the most advantageous social media marketing platform. The Lyric is still waiting to receive authorization by county to serve alcohol during movies. Suggested further physical advertisements in downtown area and near campus to draw freshman demographic and create more awareness.

  9. Discuss size and capacity of facilities

  10. Gave group members a tour of the facilities including the technology on stage and in the projection room. They also shared some of the history behind the Lyric Theatre and what makes it the historical landmark it is today.

  2. Setup new meeting time

  3. Meeting during the week of March 13th to discuss next steps and ideas of marketing to the student body.

  4. Discuss interest and implementation methods for our ideas and suggestions

  5. This will occur during the next meeting after they give the survey data and ideas some thought.
